I am trying to upgrade libc in a x86-32 chroot on my IA64 (Itanium) machine. It dies with the following Setting up libc6 (2.6.1-6) ... cannot set up thread-local storage: set_thread_area failed when setting up thread-local storage dpkg: error processing libc6 (--configure): subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 127 Errors were encountered while processing: libc6 E: Sub-process /usr/bin/dpkg returned an error code (1) The underlying kernel is 2.6.22-3-mckinley. It was previously running 2.3.2.dl1-19. Any suggestions?
