Package: kernel-package Version: 11.001 Severity: wishlist Recent upstream kernels (2.6.24-rc*) have a merged x86 tree which replaces i386 and x86_64. It is possible to select a 32-bit or 64-bit build at configure time or with various ARCH= options. Would it be possible to support this in kernel-package so that 32-bit kernels could be built on 64-bit systems without a chroot?
