By default, ping6 should use interface of default gateway: # ping6 fe80::240:63ff:fec6:d69 connect: Invalid argument At the very least, update the error message to require interface specification. If I specify interface to use (albeit it is the only one I have beside lo), ping6 works: ping6 -I eth0 fe80::240:63ff:fec6:d69 -- Arieh -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
