I'm not certain, but the problem might be that dfxvideo needs 32bpp pixel format, but your xvideo driver needs your display mode to be in 32bit depth. You can try to change your X display settings to 32bit depth. I've also made a patch to fall back to YUV mode if it detects this problem.
