Package: gqview
Version: 2.0.4-1
Severity: normal

My system has the 'ee' package installed, but not 'eeyes':

    % dlocate -s ee eeyes | rgrep '^Pack.*\|^Status.*\|^Ver.*'
    Package: ee
    Status: install ok installed
    Version: 1:1.4.2-7
    Package: eeyes
    Status: deinstall ok config-files
    Version: 1:0.3.12-4

In 'gqview', a 'RightClick>Edit>in Electric Eyes' opens the selected
graphics file using '/usr/bin/ee', the text-only "easy editor". And so
the terminal displays 'ee' editing binary garbage. The terminal gets
confused, and must be reset after quitting 'gqview'.

Suggest having 'gqview' check for 'eeyes'. If it's not installed,
either:

        1) Don't display the 'Edit>in Electric Eyes' option.
        2) Gray it out and make it inactive.

Hope this helps...
