Looks like one of your ttfs is broken /usr/share/fonts/truetype/microsoft/verdanab.ttf displays incorrectly for me as well. I suspect, but cannot prove, that another one of your many copies of this font are used with the old configuration, making it work correctly. Here's the version I'm using: $ md5sum /usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/Verdana_Bold.ttf a2b4dc9afc18e76cfcaa0071fa7cd0da /usr/share/fonts/truetype/msttcorefonts/Verdana_Bold.ttf If removing your broken font fixes this bug, please go ahead and close it. -- [EMAIL PROTECTED]
