Hi Adeodato, Sure I will look into changing this install location. I should put out a 0.9.1 release to fix this as well as the other bug open regarding a german translation being incorrect. As well via Ubuntu launchpad there is now more translations available that would be good to put out there.
The .desktop file should be compliant, I believe I made changes to it a while back to be just that. I will take another look however just to double check that it is. I have been working on porting kflickr to KDE4 and thus have left the KDE3 version untouched for a while. I will however set aside time to make these updates.
