Package: baobab
Severity: important

Hi,

I did not check whether this bug ist still present in testing or
unstable, if it is not please close it again.

Help -> Abount -> License says "GPL", which is GPL version 1

http://www.gnu.org/licenses/old-licenses/gpl-1.0.txt:
| If the Program does not specify a version number of the license,
| you may choose any version ever published by the Free Software
| Foundation.

According to its source code baobab is licensed und GPL v2 or later.

/usr/share/doc/baobab/copyright:
| ...
| License:
|
| GPL, see /usr/share/common-licenses/GPL-2

Bug 1 (this is the upstream-part):

Online-Help says GPL, which includes v1 and any later version but
according to the source code v1 is not allowed.

Bug 2:

/usr/share/doc/copyright is misleading, since it uses only "GPL" without
a version number, although source code mentions v2 or later. It should
better be written as something like:

| License:
|
| GNU General Public License, version 2 or later.
|
| On Debian GNU/Linux systems, the complete text of the GNU General Public
| License version 2 can be found in `/usr/share/common-licenses/GPL-2',
| later versions can be found in the same directory.

Regards,
Carsten
