Is there any output in the terminal? its not a delay. it either works or it doesn't work. i ran xfce4-session-logout and sometimes the logout screen pops up right away after i hit enter, and sometimes nothing comes up. it's very random, but more likely to work than not work -- maybe 75% of the time. there is no output on the terminal when running xfce4-session-logout for both cases when it works and when it doesn't. > When you try to shutdown the session, are there many applications > running?
