I couldn't reproduce it in 2.0.0.6+2.0.0.8-0etch1 or 2.0.0.8-1, so I
suppose it must have been fixed somewhere along the way.

There's no sign of this in Bugzilla... I wonder whether it was a
side-effect of a Debian patch?
