Hi,

When opening PDFs with gradients as a background picture,
evince doesn't display the margins properly. In a gradient with an axis

is visible. This phenomenon was known to me from xpdf of sarge, but
seemingly evince inherited it, whereas the problem is fixed now in
etch's xpdf.

It seems to me that this bug is fixed in evince 0.8.3 currently in
unstable. Could you please confirm?

Sorry, but I prefer not to test this. It is not a good idea to run unstable, if one permanently uses the computer for work. I don't want to sabotage my research. Only last Thursday, I switched to etch and that's why I stumble over bugs right now during my work.

Best wishes,

Kerstin
