There were specific parenthesis for integer ranges, which looked like [|
|] (I'm not good at ASCII art...).

Now I have two strange looking "q" and "y" in their place in the big
separators menu, and in the files where I had used them.

Perhaps a simple font issue?

I cannot understand the problem you are trying to describe. Please
attach a sample texmacs file and a screenshot depicting your problem.
Also, we uploaded a new version of texmacs (1.0.6.11-2). So please
check if the problem can be reproduced by the newer version.

I just upgraded to 1.0.6.11-2, and the problem is still there.

I have attached a screenshot where you can see the strange 'q' and 'y', and under them what I expected (and had until quite recently...), drawn by hand (yes, it's ugly, but you asked for it ;-) ).
