Thanks for the reply.  Yes,

   Xvnc4 -depth 8 -pixelformat RGB332 -cc 5 :1

does work without crashing in vnc4server.  (Unfortunately it's not as
useful for my testing because it also makes other visual types
available, not just the one specified).

On the other hand,

   Xvnc4 -depth 8 -pixelformat RGB880 -cc 4 :1

still causes a floating point exception.

These bugs of course still exist in 3.3.7, but I'm satified with using
vnc4server so you can close this report if you'd like.
