As stated before in this bug, this is fixed upstream. However, I took the time today to make a patch that applies against 0.26a (and should apply cleanly to Debian's patched version, as no current patches modify events_en_US.txt). Attached is that patch. It also shortens another too-long event description (which would obviously display similarly if it were to occur).
