I tried to reproduce this on an older etch installation and on an up to date 
etch, but I can't reproduce this segfault. Could you please move the .euler 
directory in your home directory to a temporary location (e.g.: 
mv .euler .euler.old) and try to use euler again? It would also help if you 
could run euler with gdb, the GNU Debugger. You might also want to have a 
look at http://wiki.debian.org/HowToGetABacktrace for more information on how 
to obtain a meainingfull backtrace from the crash.
BTW: Do other GTK2 programs run without problems?
