Package: cdbs Version: 0.4.49 Severity: normal
In documentation, it is suggested that binary/<package>:: should be used for post-installation (post-deb-preparation) actions and an example is given: binary/foo:: strip --remove-section=.comment --remove-section=.note --strip-unneeded \ debian/foo/usr/lib/foo/totoz.so However, this only runs after the binary .deb is packed up, so the command is useless (the unstripped version of binary is already part of the .deb). The right hook seems to read binary-install/<package>.
