- --- Please enter the report below this line. --- For some reason the current version of netboot for lenny (testing) requires that unstable be available in the Debian repository. - From what I understand any package in a particular version of Debian should only rely on that version's repository. I keep a local mirror of both etch and lenny. When I try to do a netboot install after "Choose a mirror of the Debian archive" and pointing it to my local http mirror of lenny and select "testing" I get a kernel modules not found. Details below. "[!!] Download installer components No kernel modules were found. This is due to a mismatch between the kernel used by this version of the installer and the kernel version available in the archive. If you're installing from a mirror, you can work around this problem by choosing to install a different version of Debian. The install will probably fail to work if you continue with out kernel modules." My Apache2 error log reports the following: "[Sun Oct 28 14:38:00 2007] [error] [client 192.168.xxx.xxx] File does not exist: /var/www/lenny/dists/unstable/non-free/debian-installer" As you can see from the error the netboot install is try to access the unstable repository. I and using debmirror to mirror the lenny (testing) repository with the default "sections" which includes "main/debian-installer" I've done the same for etch when it was testing and again when it became stable with no problems. If more information is needed please let me know and I will send it. - --- System information. --- Architecture: i386 Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-686 Debian Release: 4.0 - --- Package information. --- Depends (Version) | Installed =======================-+-=========== | - -- Thank you. ********************************************************************* Steven Demetrius - --------------------------------------------------------------------- E-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ********************************************************************* -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: Using GnuPG with Mozilla - http://enigmail.mozdev.org iD8DBQFHJD9ME5pZTZCwxmQRApBuAJ0YB+yYcu37S7TeYvvNcIibWGe7nwCfUY/0 IDL/rS8Nyl9y/Cm5IdCdzl8= =tImK -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
