This bug is mentioned as fixed by the mail diff changes patch: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=290690
However I'd like the maintainer to reconsider also applying this patch. Filtering of output seems to me a more general method of preventing unnessecary output than diffing with the previous output. For example when output is not always exactly the same each day, which happened with the (removed) utmp check reporting time to finish or sniffer reporting: 'eth0: PACKET SNIFFER(/sbin/dhclient[2327])' where the PID of dhclient will vary. I tested the filter patch and it works fine for these situations for me. Thanks, Jaap -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe". Trouble? Contact [EMAIL PROTECTED]
