The xorg.conf can be configured to work with evdev but it's not very simple : for the keyboard : Section "InputDevice" Identifier "Generic Keyboard" Driver "evdev" Option "CoreKeyboard" Option "Device" "/dev/input/event4" Option "XkbRules" "xorg" Option "XkbModel" "evdev" Option "XkbLayout" "fr" EndSection It works fine but we must know which /dev/input/event the keyboard uses...and it's not very easy to use...
