I'm almost sure the problem is not chbg.

I made a debug backtrace and I got the same:

Gtk-WARNING **: invalid cast from (NULL) pointer to `GtkLabel'

Gtk-CRITICAL **: file gtklabel.c: line 260 (gtk_label_set_text):
assertion `GTK_IS_LABEL (label)' failed.
Gdk-ERROR **: BadMatch (invalid parameter attributes)
  serial 8429 error_code 8 request_code 70 minor_code 0

I didn't get nothing with gdb.
I think the problem comming from libgtk-1.2.

reassign 444292 libgtk1.2

I'm preparing a new package chbg 2.0 with gtk2. I hope to finish it soon :(

Regards.
