I'm almost sure the problem is not chbg. I made a debug backtrace and I got the same:

I think the problem comming from libgtk-1.2. reassign 444292 libgtk1.2 I'm preparing a new package chbg 2.0 with gtk2. I hope to finish it soon :( Regards.
