I'm sorry I can't provide any more information. I'm not familiar with pan's internal. Perhaps I was too quick to report the bug against gtk, as it might be pan's implementation of the library. I see now that someone has opened a bug against pan with the same description. Thank you for your quick attention. I'll let the pan maintainer decide where the error lies.
