Perhaps, but with sufficient processing power and memory bandwidth that
shouldn't cause a problem.

I always run LW fullscreen.  However, I use LCDs, and thus I like to avoid
running at non-native resolutions whenever possible.  Running at the native
resolution gets smoother images without scaling.  I'd like to run at
1400x1050 and 1680x1050.

Ah, I didn't realize this.  I had assumed that LW would scale up to whatever
resolution it had available.
