Shawn, et al., With respect to bug #445437, I think that it is clear based on Fabian's comments that this is a result of either a misunderstand of how things are supposed to work, a misconfiguration, or some combination of the two.
My inclination is to declare that this is really a non-bug. That said, if there is any opposition/concern/comment that anyone would like to voice, I'd be interested in hearing it.
