I've searched the web and found that Ubuntu folks had the same problem: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/network-manager/+bug/37128 I tried with this: find /usr/share/icons/ -type d -exec gtk-update-icon-cache -f {} \; ...and that fixed the problem.
