kino is not part of sarge currently (but going in tonight), so what you've been trying was the woody version on a system with sarge libs. In other words, you've tested that a partial upgrade does not work for kino. Most likely, this is a bug in one of the libraries, rather than in kino itself. In any case, fixing it would require an update to kino in woody, and I is probably too much effort just to support an unusual partial upgrade. (Well, it will be unusual tomorrow, when kino is supposed to be back in sarge.) Therefore, I'm inclined to tag this bug as wontfix, or just close it right away once we have a kino package in sarge again. Do you agree? And could you please test again tomorrow with the new version of kino? If you found it to segfault as well, that would be a lot more worrying.
