Okay, I poked at this some more and a bunch of the noise was due to a bug in the lintian check leading it to not check desktop entries of an unknown type. I've now fixed that, which should help a lot. The kruler applnk desktop file still will produce errors, but it still looks rather broken to me. It may be that going forward, we'll have to have a blessed list of directories in which desktop files should be checked and ignore any outside those directories, but let's see how matters go with the next upload.
