The i18n support in all debconf-using packages being a release goal for Lenny (http://release.debian.org/lenny-goals.txt), I'm raising the severity to important. There is of course no urgency to fix this bug, as long as it is fixed long enough before the release of Lenny so that translators have time to translate the template.
