Package: smc
Version: 1.0-1+b1
Severity: normal

hello, the music and sfx in smc are scratchy on my system.
note that i have an onboard AC'97 sound card. i ran into the same issue
with wesnoth, freedroidrpg, and neverball recently
(http://bugs.debian.org/405841, http://bugs.debian.org/406437,
http://bugs.debian.org/410489 respectively). the solution for those games
was to set the audio sampling rate on the sound card to 44100 Hz (see the
bug reports for more detail including patches). is there any way to set
the audio sampling rate in smc? otherwise, this capability needs to be
added in.

thank you very much for the hard work.

mike
