I've given the split a try, the commit is here: http://svn.debian.org/wsvn/collab-maint?op=comp&[EMAIL PROTECTED]&[EMAIL PROTECTED]&manualorder=1 This builds and installs on my machine, but splitting packages is not trivial, and I'm not an all-too-experienced Debian maintainer, so I'd definitely like somebody else to review the changes.
