as of now (traceroute 2.0.9), the wrapper in traceroute for
tcptraceroute is only for mapping different options; compared to the
original tcptraceroute, it lacks some features, and it requires root
permissions.

however, the new traceroute implementation is still under development
and not that mature yet; i'd recommend to keep tcptraceroute, future
tells if the new traceroute will be a complete replacement. so, it would
be nice if you could add the respecting alternatives.
