Package: mime-support Version: 3.39-1 Severity: normal "see" is a bad choice for PAGER on a typical system, because many programs that might reasonably be the viewer for type text/plain do not accept input on standard input. PAGER is quite a specialised function. I suggest that you remove the recommendation to use see for PAGER for this reason.
Also, PAGER is typically used for text/plain only, so the MIME type testing done by run-mailcap isn't very useful; it's safe always to use a text viewer for PAGER. -- System Information: Debian Release: lenny/sid APT prefers testing APT policy: (700, 'testing'), (600, 'experimental'), (600, 'unstable') Architecture: i386 (i686) Kernel: Linux 2.6.22-2-686 (SMP w/1 CPU core) Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/dash mime-support depends on no packages.
