Hi Tomas, the package in my private archieve works up to 2.4.27 Debian, and 2.4.30 stock kernels. However, I still get denied uploading, and I will try to discuss this on debian-devel.
If you want, meanwhile you can get the up to date package from http://juergen.strobel.info/debian-strobel/dists/unstable/kernel/ If anyone can, feel free to do a non maintainer upload. Maybe this package doesn't slide out of usefulness as fast as I thought, as there are still good reasons to use a 2.4.x kernel.
