meld already has an option to create a patch file and save it to a file or the clipboard. If you right-click in one of the two panes that meld creates while editing / viewing diffs, you can select the "Create Patch" item to do this. If this is what you are looking for (and you did not find it because you were looking for it in the main menu), we can patch meld to probably add that to the "File" drop-down.
