There is a tool you can use to convert APE files to WAV and then burn the
cue file using K3b.

Add this repository to your /etc/apt/sources.list:

  deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org sid main

Then, apt-get the "monkeys-audio" package.  It provides a command-line
utility called "mac" which can decompress APE files to WAV.
