I'm using a Debian Lenny (testing), with a sidux kernel 2.6.21.4, plus patches bootsplash and btsco (for bt headsets) on a ACER 3004NLCi. Exactly same: after upgrade to 2.9.9d+e-pre2-10, the modem fails with "NO CARRIER".
I tried to recompile from source but get a lot off errors. The compile fix that is supposed to use for Ubuntu/Kubuntu (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/DialupModemHowto/Smartlink) do not help-me (it still doesn't compile).
