When starting vpnc, the following messages are displayed:
/etc/vpnc/vpnc-script: 338: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
/etc/vpnc/vpnc-script: 338: Syntax error: "(" unexpected
VPNC started in background (pid: 8511)...
Following this I am unable to access the internet.
Suggested Fix:
Removing the keyword "function" from line number 338 and 347 fixes the problem.
