Yes.  This weekend I ran into Mike Schultheiss (he is a Progeny alum)
and I happened to mention rpmstrap.  Mike mentioned that Sam Hart (also
a Progeny alum and the upstream for rpmstrap) dropped development quite
a long time ago.  Mike mentioned that Progeny formerly used the tool for
helping to develop their rpm-based distro(s).  However, as Progeny is nw
out of business, I think it is highly unlikely that rpmstrap will ever
resucitated.
