It is a bit cumbersome to get the debian-installer here, so let me try to explain in words what is going on: /dev/hda1 is a windows FAT partition indeed (marked bootable) /dev/hda1 and hda2 are linux partitions, both get the error message "not ending on cylinder boundary" /dev/hda4 is the extended partition, containing three linux data partitions and one linux swap partition.
