Short, but important question: Are you going to update libsaxon-java or are you going to package a separate package, e.g. libsaxon8-java? I'm currently preparing the docbook-xsl Saxon and Xalan extensions for Debian. But they are written to work with Saxon 6. Upstream told me, that these extensions are not necessary with Saxon 8 anymore.
