Package: wlassistant Version: 0.5.7-2 Severity: normal I use wlassistant successfully. Today I've selected two new options (after connecting to a network): 1. group networks with the same name 2. automatically reconnect when disconnected Then I quit wlassistant and tried to start it again. After that it always crashed (I haven't tried that when disconnected). Last lines from strace (kcrash says that trace is useless, I can't get core either): 3928 ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0 3928 write(3, ";\3\5\0001\0\300\2\0\0\0\0\0\0\376\0\323\1\20\0;\3\5\000"..., 112) = 112 3928 write(3, ";\3\5\0001\0\300\2\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\0\323\1\20\0;\3\5\000"..., 6180) = 6180 3928 ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0 3928 ioctl(3, FIONREAD, [0]) = 0 3928 select(10, [3 4 5 7 9], [], [], {0, 0}) = 1 (in [5], left {0, 0}) 3928 read(5, "\0", 1) = 1 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWESSID, 0x647740) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIFFLAGS, {ifr_name="wlan0", ifr_flags=IFF_UP|IFF_BROADCAST|IFF_RUNNING|IFF_MULTICAST}) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIFADDR, {ifr_name="wlan0", ifr_addr={AF_INET, inet_addr("172.17.187.172")}}) = 0 3928 futex(0x2ae04acd2f80, FUTEX_WAKE, 2147483647) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWAP, 0x6476e0) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWRANGE, 0x7fff61d9e3a0) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWSTATS, 0x7fff61d9e380) = 0 3928 open("/sys/class/net/wlan0/statistics/tx_packets", O_RDONLY) = 11 3928 fstat(11, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0444, st_size=4096, ...}) = 0 3928 mmap(NULL, 4096, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0x2ae04f128000 3928 read(11, "664\n", 4096) = 4 3928 close(11) = 0 3928 munmap(0x2ae04f128000, 4096) = 0 3928 open("/sys/class/net/wlan0/statistics/rx_packets", O_RDONLY) = 11 3928 fstat(11, {st_mode=S_IFREG|0444, st_size=4096, ...}) = 0 3928 mmap(NULL, 4096, PROT_READ|PROT_WRITE, MAP_PRIVATE|MAP_ANONYMOUS, -1, 0) = 0x2ae04f128000 3928 read(11, "1025\n", 4096) = 5 3928 close(11) = 0 3928 munmap(0x2ae04f128000, 4096) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWENCODE, 0x647660) = -1 EPERM (Operation not permitted) 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWESSID, 0x647740) = 0 3928 write(1, "Now connected to \'GOESH\'\n", 25) = 25 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWAP, 0x6476e0) = 0 3928 ioctl(10, SIOCGIWAP, 0x6476e0) = 0 3928 --- SIGSEGV (Segmentation fault) @ 0 (0) --- 3928 rt_sigaction(SIGALRM, {SIG_DFL}, {SIG_DFL}, 8) = 0 3928 alarm(3) = 0 3928 getrlimit(RLIMIT_NOFILE, {rlim_cur=1024, rlim_max=1024}) = 0 3928 close(3) = 0
