With that switch, both mplayer and easytag can see the metadata in files generated by 1.62. But easytag quite clearly supports ID3 2.3 and 2.4... is it possible that (when not using --with-id3v1) streamripper 1.62 creates an *empty* ID3v1 tag and a normal ID3v2.3 tag, instead of not creating a v1 tag at all?
