Since we have '~' nowadays for problems like these and everything aside from the
obvious stuff we currently catch (i.e. 0|1|0.1) is just pure guesswork I
would suggest closing this bug.

(The only somewhat sane way to improve automatic -sa handling is requested by 
#28701
"dpkg-genchanges should compare the version numbers", IMHO)
