I didn't know xmms2, I tried, and I don't like it at all... I don't like the xmms2d thing, I think it's useless if you use something like pulseaudio that does the job already. I also didn't like at all the "new" interface. I think it would be a shame if xmms without the daemon thing was removed. Note that I'm not writing to debian-devel@ any more for that topic in order to keep traffic lower, and not bother anybody more...
