Thanks a lot for pointing out. I created a udev rule: KERNEL=="event*", SYSFS{idVendor}=="046d", SYSFS{idProduct}=="c50e" NAME="input/event-mx1000", SYMLINK="input/%k" and added: Option "Device" "/dev/input/event-mx1000" to the InputDevice Section. This works ;) But I noticed in evdev(4) that 'Option "Device"' is strongly discouraged.
