I've merged a patch in our SVN to workaround this, but disabled it; the rationale is that if we workaround this, apps wont ever get fixed to call gtk_init().
It's safe to call gtk_init() multiple times, so apps should be fixed to call it; this includes flash player. -- Loïc Minier
