Something useful? > > Bye > > OK. Killed the applet. Started mixer_applet2 in terminal and it just runs but does not return. Add applet into panel and it runs fine without any errors. So that's good.
However, as soon as kill mixer_applet2 I get the same error back straight away and on next logon. Is mixer_applet2 meant to be running as a daemon or started some other way?? I suspect that might be the issue and maybe the gnome panel applet can't talk to it?? Ian
