The pbuilder-satisfydepends invocation in qemubuilder passes options that are not recognized by Sarge's pbuilder-satisfydepends, it seems: the help message is displayed when trying to do sarge builds. It is therefore impossible to build packages for Sarge with current qemubuilder in Sid.
