I think they will be. The 1.4 branch doesn't seem to be going to have big changes, and 1.6 still has a long way to go before it becomes stable. > If so, do you think it is worth to change ... Even with --no-socket, I believe scim still creates some socket under /tmp/, and also things may change depending on whether scim-modules-socket package is installed. I am not familiar with that part and don't really plan to investigate unless there is a compelling reason to. > (In my honest opinion, I think keeping all options and not-mentioning > defaults are good idea since things will change time to time and this > command is meant to be used in the scipt. After all, that command is in the "EXAMPLE" section, and just above it there is a simple example of "scim -d". I would like to hear Dan clarify what exactly he is complaining about. His reply to this bug is about using Pinyin for traditional Chinese, which is completely unrelated to the issue we are discussing. IMO, there are more pressing issues to solve about man page and/or documentation in scim package. The /FrontEnd/X11/Dynamic setting and scim-qtimm/scim-bridge alternatives are two, for example, just from top of my head. So unless Dan comes up with a clear description of the problem (or better, provides a patch), I don't think we should spend too much time on this bug.
