Hi, and thanks a lot for cowbuilder! Most of my packages are collaboratively maintained using mostly svn repositories on alioth. cowbuilder is neat, but it has actually increased the steps in my debian package build process (of course with advantages though). Indeed now I've to do: - svn-buildpackage --svn-export - cd ../build-area && dpkg-source -b ... - sudo cowbuilder --build - manually invoking lintian - svn-buildpackage --svn-tag .. According to the svn-buildpackage manpage it can be passed a --svn-builder command specifying which command is to be used to build the package. I haven't actually checked that, but my feeling is that the "API" for that command should be to be invoked from the debianized source tree (instead of on the .dsc) and that it should leave the built packages in ../ (instead of in the pbuilder result directory). Having such a script would reduce the above steps (again) to: - svn-buildpackage --svn-builder=cowbuilerwrapper ... Do you think it's possible to implement such a wrapper (considering also that it would require sudo and the heck)? I planned to write it by myself but so far I've lacked the time to devote to it, so I'm reporting this bug to not keep track of the feature request and to hear your comments about that.
