Thank you for your concern about my above bugs. Indeed, I have even more trouble reading them than you... Anyway, all I know is these days I indeed can use Hanyu Pinyin in scim-chewing. However, I cannot enter punctuation characters the easy way. Bug reports and even meeting the developers in person is no use, as you can see on the chewing-devel mailing list.
